Secret Garden is more like a home away from home than a hotel, oozing with coziness while ensuring all the privacy you need. Whether you are just passing through or taking that long needed relaxed holiday, you are sure to enjoy the magic of Secret Garden.
We do our best to anticipate your needs with a wide selection of movies, music and cable options in the central Red Library, access to computers and wi-fy, and even free use of well maintained bicycles for sporting about town. You are most welcome to join in quiet yoga sessions in the back garden or just enjoy lounging around the crystal clear pool and occasionally refreshing yourself with a cool dip. Secret Garden is also very child friendly with a unique three bed set up in some rooms.
To top it off, we make real efforts to do it all with an eco-friendly approach. We practice rain water harvesting, heat water with solar power, and avoid the misuse of plastic.
Thora, the owner, is a migrating bird, flitting between cool summers in Iceland and warm winters in Kerala. With a background in hospitality, she is just like her space – warm, open and welcoming. The local people that shared Thora’s vision and worked with her to create Secret Garden remain with her today receiving guests and making each and every one feel special.
We encourage our guest to start the day off with a wholesome western breakfast consisting of Thora’s homemade multigrain bread and marmalade made from organically grown fruits, fresh fruit salad, organic yogurt and the finest local tea or coffee, the latter being brewed to perfection, Italian style.
